This article will teach you a few ways to sell your rap beats. Let's say you just have learned how to create some cool beats by using software. You stay on your laptop all day coming up with these cool beats and now you need to sell them and get out into the music industry.
There is lots of music artists on the internet now and they want to buy rap beats online so they can make really good songs to put on their albums. Below are some websites and additional tips to get your beats noticed on the internet. I have broken them down into two categories.
Opportunity websites are those sites that post opportunities instead of allowing you to post your beats. In these websites, clients such as record label holders and rappers post what they are looking for. They will usually tell the beat maker about what they are looking for and beat makers can apply for the opportunity through that.
1) Broadjam
This website has one of the most extensive list of opportunities. You name it and they have it. They have different types of opportunities ranging from TV deals to film musical beats. They are looking for expert beat makers who want to make a lot of money from their beats. After all, they are not offering ordinary opportunities. They only have opportunities from high paying clients.
2) Music Placements
Then, there is also Music Placements. This website is a relatively new opportunity website. Even though it has fewer opportunities compared with other websites, it is still a great way to expose your beats to new companies.
3) Talk to Artists
And if you want to really want to get into better opportunities, you would do better if you will contact artists directly. By closely working with new and upcoming artists, you will be able to get a higher bid. After all, you are creating customized beats that are designed just for them.
Meanwhile, if you are new to the beat making industry, you may need to expose yourself to the online world first. You can do this by trying some of these amateur beat maker websites.
